Redskins cut Ganther

By Ryan O'Halloran on Nov. 6, 2009 into Redskins 360

The Redskins have signed punter Sam Paulescu and released running back Quinton Ganther. Vinny Cerrato mentioned the move during the opening segment of his radio show. That Ganther was cut is a little surprising considering Renaldo Wynn was the odd player out when Hunter Smith was injured earlier this season. Wynn was cut a few times and then brought back the following Tuesday. Ganther was signed before the Philadelphia game when Marcus Mason (who worked out this week for New England but wasn't signed) and Anthony Alridge were released. Vinny also said H.B. Blades could be available to play Sunday. -- Ryan O'Halloran

The Redskins are allegedly looking for a "spark". They had that "spark" in Anthony Alridge, whom they cut and they have it in Marko Mitchell, whom they refuse to activate. Stevie Wonder has and Ray Charles had the vision to see this. Why can't Vinny Cerrato and Jim Zorn see it?
