Betts, Heyer starting

← return to Redskins 360

Running back Ladell Betts and right tackle Stephon Heyer, both battling ailing knees, are starting today for the Redskins.

Other than tight end Chris Cooley (knee), running back Clinton Portis (concussion) and offensive tackle Mike Williams (ankle), Washington's inactives are: rookie linebacker Robert Henson, who made his debut last week; rookie fullback Eddie Williams, rookie cornerback Kevin Barnes and defensive linemen Anthony Montgomery and Renaldo Wynn, none of whom has yet to play.

Safety Lendy Holmes, promoted from the practice squad on Saturday, is active. So is cornerback Byron Westbrook, who's back from having his left knee scoped on Oct. 27.
