Just about ready to get underway here at Cowboys Stadium but one last note -- Redskins secondary coach Jerry Gray is being named as a potential finalist for the University of Memphis opening, according to the Memphis Commercial-Appeal.
Other names being mentioned:LSU assistant head coach Larry Porter, University of Tennessee assistant Eddie Gran, Lambuth head coach Hugh Freeze, Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill, Oklahoma State co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer, North Alabama coach Terry Bowden and Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster.
Gray aspires to be an NFL head coach but he's clearly looking out for his best interests. Who knows what the Redskins' staff would look like although Gray has NFL coordinator experience and would be a natural successor to Greg Blache should Blache retire.
