Buick and the PGA Tour Cut Ties

The relationship between Buick and the PGA Tour is over. The Buick Open and Warwick Hills? That'll get a different name. Ditto for the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines. 

It was an inevitable moved after the General Motors' restructuring. And it is unclear whether the PGA Tour will even remain in Michigan, as the loss of the sponsorship brings the entire future of the tournament in question. 

The PGA Tour tomorrow will announced a replacement of the Buick Open for 2010. The tour said it remains interested in staying in Michigan and is "exploring opportunities."

The tour will continue talks with the Century Club of San Diego about a new sponsorship for the tournament at Torrey Pines.
