We've heard reports of Stephen Strasburg's velocity and command. Some of us have maybe even seen him in person or on film. But for the first time, fans will get an in-depth look at his pitching arsenal as MLB.com will use its proprietary Pitch F/X data during Strasburg's Arizona Fall League start on Thursday.
Baseball's Pitch F/X system uses a series of in-stadium cameras to record a wide array of information about each pitch, including the velocity, angle and movement. Given Strasburg's reputation for throwing hard and with wicked movement, this should be interesting to see.
You can follow the game online with the data here at MLB.com's Gameday application. Game time is 2:35 p.m. ET.
