    As the Nationals packed up for a late-night flight to Miami, they officially put an end to spring training and sent a few players on their way to Syracuse. They also named a starting right fielder, And Ryan Zimmerman said a long-term deal will have to be done by Monday or wait until next year. Published April 4 2009

    Hello from Nationals Park, where more than a few good seats are still available for the exhibition between the Nationals and Orioles (currently in the third inning). By my estimate (and this is a pure guess), there's probably less than 17,000 people here. Published April 4 2009

    The biggest news out of here today after the Nats' 6-2 loss to the Orioles was their three roster moves -- outrighting Kory Casto and Mike O'Connor and putting Terrell Young on the DL. Casto, in particular, took the news hard. Published April 3 2009

    The Nationals just announced three roster moves, none of which were terribly unexpected. They outrighted infielder Kory Casto and left-hander Mike O'Connor to Class AAA Syracuse and put right-hander Terrell Young on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.
