The Major League Baseball draft wrapped up Wednesday.

Over 50 rounds, 14 Mid-Atlantic universities had players selected. Virginia, with eight, had the most.

Locally, Maryland (four), Georgetown (two) and George Washington (one) each had a player selected.

So, too, did American, even though the Eagles don’t field a baseball team (for the second straight year, basketball player Stephen Lumpkins was selected).

This list was culled from MLB’s draft tracker, and the process of going through that might have led to an omission. But as a reference point going forward, it appears this is the list of players from schools in the District, Maryland and Virginia to pop up over the last three days.
