It appears the fight during the primary election among conservative commentators and writers about Senate GOP candidate Christine O’Donnell has continued following Ms. O’Donnell’s victory over Republican Congressman Mike Castle.

Fox News is reporting that the National Republican Senatorial Committee will not be supporting Ms. O’Donnell’s candidacy, as they have deemed her to be “unelectable.” Ms. O’Donnell will have to rely on her own fundraising and help from the Tea Party.

Ms. O’Donnell responded telling Fox News reporter Carl Cameron, “They were the same so-called experts who said I couldn’t win. They don’t have a winning track record this season.”

The NRSC, headed up by Senator John Cornyn, Texas Republican, is hardly a making a decision here that will rev up donations from the base for their fundraising efforts. While there is concern about Ms. O’Donnell’s chances in November, nevertheless, cutting off the GOP candidate who overwhelmingly won the primary may not be wise either.
