Catholic friars from the Dominican order walk through the streets of Northeast Washington on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, as part of a pilgrimage that started at the Dominican House of Studies in Northeast and traveled to St. Dominic's Parish in Southwest. This is the first time the friars have held the pilgrimage, which commemorated the date that St. Dominic's body was moved from its original grave to its current resting place in Bologna, Italy. Along the way the friars sang hymns and said prayers. (Barbara L. Salisbury/The Washington Times)
