• Oatlands Plantation is on Route 15, six miles south of Leesburg, Va. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The fee is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and students, $1 for children (6 to 11) and children 5 and under are admitted free.

Holiday tea is served in the Carriage House from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday. The tea is $12.50 per person and reservations are required.

The Saturday evening candlelight tour held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. is $10 for adults and older children and $3 for children under 12. Hot cider and cookies will be served following the tour. Call 703/477-3174.

• Billingsley House Museum is on Green Landing Road in Upper Marlboro. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. A candlelight tour will be held Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. Fee: $3 per person. Call 301/627-0730.

• Sully Historic Site is on Route 28 in Chantilly. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The site is closed on Tuesdays. The fee is $5 for adults, $4 for students (16 and older), and $3 for children (ages 5 to 15) and seniors (60 and over). A candlelight tour is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The fee for the tour is $6 for adults, $5 for students (16 and older), and $4 for children (ages 5 to 15) and seniors (60 and over). Call 703/437-1794.

• Surratt House Museum is at 9118 Brandywine Road in Clinton. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The fee is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and $1 for children ages 5 to 18. Candlelight tours are scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Call 301/868-1121.

• Woodlawn Plantation is on Route 1 south in Alexandria. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. A candlelight tour is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The fee is $15 for adults and older children and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Champagne and punch and cookies are served following the tour and each guest will receive a small memento to take home. Reservations are required. Call 703/780-4000.

• Riversdale House Museum is at 4811 Riverdale Road in Riverdale Park. Its candlelight tours are scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 28 and 29. Live music, costumed interpreters and children's games will be a part of the festivities. The fee is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for students. Children under 5 are admitted free. • The White House is at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in the District. Its candlelight tours are scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 27, 28 and 29. Anyone in line at the Southeast Gate by 7 p.m. will be admitted. Tickets are not required and this event is free to the public.
