Not far from quaint Ellicott City, a handful of golf courses, parks with tennis courts and shopping at Columbia Mall is Grovemont in Elkridge, where Winchester Homes is building 87 single-family homes.
Each home in this Howard County community will feature a brick front, a brick stoop, professional landscaping and a two-car garage. Stone and stucco facades are optional.
All five models include four or five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, hardwood flooring in the foyer, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, a first-floor study, a white-on-white kitchen, a gas fireplace, a luxurious master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower, and gas heat and hot water.
Many models also include the "extra touches" details, such as ceiling fan prewires, a workbench in the basement, a home security system and more.
The homes range in size from 2,977 to 3,339 finished square feet, with base prices from $340,000 to $378,000.
The Browning model, with 3,339 square feet, is priced from $369,000. This home features a two-story foyer with a balcony, a formal living room, a formal dining room, glass doors to the study, a family room with a fireplace, a center-island kitchen with a breakfast room and a butler's pantry, a rear staircase, and an optional solarium next to either the kitchen or the living room.
Upstairs, the master suite includes a cathedral ceiling, a separate sitting room, two-walk-in closets and a luxury bath. The second bedroom has a private bath, while the third and fourth share a connecting bath. A laundry room also is on this floor.
The lower level can be finished with a recreation room, a den and a bath. Options available include the complete custom-design program of Winchester Homes, which allows customers to make design changes before the home is built.
