From the Beltway, go west on Interstate 66 to Gainesville, then south on Route 29. About 12 miles past Culpeper, turn right on Route 609 and continue to the T intersection at Route 231. Turn right and go about a mile to Route 670. Turn left and drive to the camping or festival parking area at Graves' Mountain.


Day parking near the stage is free.


Music at the stage begins at 4 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday and continues each day until about 11 p.m. Field-picking goes on day and night in the camping area except in designated quiet areas.


Three days (required for camping), $55; Thursday, $14; Friday, $18; Saturday, $25. Children younger than 12 can enter for free with a ticketed adult.

Take lawn chairs or blankets, rain gear just in case, children's wading clothes for the stream and sweaters or jackets for cool evenings.
