Spaces are plentiful and free. There is a small lot at the base of the Lower Trail to the falls; if no spaces are available, the lot at Hunting Creek Lake is convenient.

The off-season entrance fee is $2 per car. If both the William Houck and Manor areas are visited, only one entrance fee is required save the receipt for proof of purchase. On May and September weekends and daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the entrance fees are $3 per person on weekends and $2 per person on weekdays except Wednesdays, when it is $1 per person. Children riding in car seats, senior citizens (62 and older) and registered campers are admitted free. A summer fun pass is $50. Rental canoes are available for $5 an hour; rowboats and paddle boats can be rented for $10 an hour. Note that the rates may change in 2001.

The park is open 8 a.m. to sunset April through October; 10 a.m. to sunset November through March.

Alcoholic beverages are permitted at picnic tables and campsites. Pets on a leash are allowed only in the wild-lands portions of the park. They are prohibited in the Houck and Manor areas (picnic areas, the lake area and campgrounds) and at the falls. (They may not be left in parked autos.) In addition, all Maryland state parks are trash-free: Visitors must carry out what they carry in.
