WJLA TV and "Wheel of Fortune" are bringing the game show to Washington.
Three separate weeks of shows will be taped here. They are "Washington, D.C., Week," "NFL Players Week" and "College Week."
Several local contestant searches will be held through "Wheelmobile" auditions. The Wheelmobile is the show's traveling recreational vehicle, which goes around the country looking for contestants.
The Wheelmobile will be at the RFK Stadium parking lot, 22nd and East Capitol streets, from 3 to 7 p.m. today. The show cautions that visitors are not guaranteed auditions or appearances on the show. However, they may fill out a contestant search application.
The shows will be taped in October at Washington's DAR Constitution Hall. On Sept. 16, the Wheelmobile will visit the White Flint Mall parking lot and on Sept. 20, Potomac Mills in Prince William County. For more information, call 202/364-7850 or check www.wjla.com.
