Seen and heard last night at MCI Center:
NEED A HEARING AID? Coach Doug Collins expressed his disgust with guard Hubert Davis in the second quarter when he was trying to deliver some instructions. Davis, no more than 25 feet away from Collins in a mostly quiet MCI Center, didn't answer Collins until the coach had ventured several feet on the court and shouted at the top of his lungs. Collins seemed to think Davis deliberately didn't answer him.
HISTORY LESSON The Wizards have won seven straight for the first time in five seasons, but to find the last time they won eight straight was the 1982-83 campaign, when the Bullets featured Jeff Ruland, Greg Ballard and Ricky Sobers. That streak went from mid- to late March and helped the team go 42-40.
