Buyers looking for a planned community with large home sites will be attracted to Oak Valley, a Haymarket community of single-family homes built on lots of a half-acre or larger.

Mid-Atlantic Builders is building 50 homes in this Prince William County development, each with myriad customization options for the exteriors and interiors from the Mid-Atlantic Design Portfolio book.

Each home will include a brick front with dentil molding and keystones, professional landscaping, brass exterior lighting, double-hung wood windows and a two-car garage.

Inside, each of the eight models has four or five bedrooms; 2 1/2 baths; a hardwood floor in the foyer; oversized interior trim, including crown and chair-rail molding; a gourmet kitchen; ceramic-tile baths; a luxury master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower; and gas heat and hot water, with a high-efficiency furnace.

The homes range in size from 3,028 to 4,642 finished square feet, with base prices from $366,990 to $469,990.

The Dover model, priced from $379,990, has 3,181 square feet. This home features a two-story foyer flanked by the living room and dining room; a two-story step-down family room with a fireplace; a first-floor study; a center-island kitchen with a desk and pantry, a breakfast area and an adjacent laundry room; and an optional sun room with a cathedral ceiling off the living room.

Upstairs, the master suite features a sitting room defined by a column and an optional two-sided fireplace, a bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, two walk-in closets and a luxury bath with a vaulted ceiling and separate vanities. Three additional bedrooms share a hall bath.

Options include an upgraded luxury shower-spa bath with space and seating for two and an elegant curved glass-block wall, in-home theaters, custom lighting, patios, decks, bay windows upstairs and downstairs, skylights and extra windows.
