From Interstate 495, take the Dulles Toll Road Route 267 west and get off at Exit 14. Make a right onto Hunter Mill Road; proceed about two miles, and the park will be on the left.

The park is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children. A group rate of $4 per child for groups of 15 or more is available. Adults such as teachers or staff members are admitted free with their group.

Parking is free.

Picnic tables are available for families that would like to bring their own food. The gift shop sells drinks and snacks.

There is little relief from the sun at the Reston Zoo. Wear a hat and sunscreen when visiting in the summer.
