To get to Wheaton Regional Park, take the Capital Beltway to Exit 31 north (Georgia Avenue) into Wheaton. Travel about five miles. Make a right on Shorefield Road, which borders the park and provides easy access to the carousel and miniature train.

There is no admission charge to the park, but tickets to ride the train and carousel are $1.25 each. Two free parking lots with about 100 spaces are available at the Shorefield Road entrance. Other free parking is available at the Glenallan Avenue, Kemp Mill Road and Orebaugh Avenue entrances.

The Shorefield picnic area and Adventure Playground are open from 9 a.m. to sunset daily; closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year´s days. Call the other attractions for information and hours of operation.
