The Fire Museum of Maryland is located at 1301 York Road in Lutherville, Md. Take Interstate 95 north. Get on the Baltimore Beltway (Interstate 695) west toward Towson; the Beltway will become I-695 north. Take Exit 26A toward Maryland Route 45 south (York Road/Towson). Go left onto West Road and left onto York Road. The museum is on the right after you cross the Beltway.


Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for firefighters and seniors 62 and older, $4 for children ages 3 to 18, free for children younger than 3. Family memberships also are available. Plenty of free parking is located next to the museum facilities.


The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays in May and September through November, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday from June through August. The museum is closed from December through April and on July 4.
