• "The Berenstain Bears Visit the Dentist," by Stan and Jan Berenstain, Random House, 1981. Brother Bear and Sister Bear undergo dental work in this installment of the Berenstain Bears series.

• "Barney Goes to the Dentist," by Linda Cress Dowdy, Barney Publishing, 1997. The big purple dinosaur explains a visit to the dentist to preschoolers.

• "Going to the Dentist," by Helen Frost, Pebble Books, 1999. This book is a good introduction to the dentist and his equipment.
