Directions: The Capital Children's Museum is located at 800 Third St. NE, Washington, D.C., 11/2 blocks from Union Station on Metro's Red line.

Parking and admission: Admission is $7 for adults and children, $5 for seniors 55 and older, free for children 2 and younger. Admission is half-price on Sundays before noon. Limited parking is available on museum grounds, metered parking surrounds the site and a public lot is one block away.

Hours: The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays, Labor Day through Memorial Day. The museum will be open on the following Monday holidays: Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Easter Monday, Columbus Day, Veterans Day and the Monday between Christmas and New Year's. During the summer, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
