Location: The National Museum of American History is at 14th Street and Constitution Avenue NW. The Star-Spangled Banner has been removed from the museum's Mall entrance and is now housed in a special exhibit in the West Wing of the museum's third floor.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily

Admission: Free

Tours: Docent-led tours are available at 1 p.m. on weekdays and 11:30 a.m. on weekends.

Parking and transportation: Limited parking is available on streets near the Mall. The museum is closest to the Federal Triangle and Smithsonian Metro stops on the Orange and Blue lines.

Concessions: There is a cafeteria at the museum.
