Directions: The Baltimore Zoo is located in Baltimore's Druid Hill Park. From the District, take Interstate 95 to Pratt Street to Interstate 83 north. Take Exit 7 west to Druid Park Lake Drive.

Admission: Entrance to the wilderness area is free with zoo admission. Zoo admission is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and children ages 2 to 15. Children younger than 2 are admitted free. Children younger than 15 are admitted free with a paying adult from 10 a.m. to noon the first Tuesday of each month.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. year-round

Parking: Parking is free.

Don't miss: The otters, tree slide and giant concrete lily pads. Other zoo attractions include the polar bear, giraffes, elephants and chimpanzees, the ZooChoo train and the carousel.

Concessions: A very child-friendly concession stand (featuring covered eating areas) is located in the Maryland Farmyard area at the end of the wilderness area.
