Location: Discovery Theater is located in the Arts and Industries Building, 900 Jefferson Drive SW, next to the Smithsonian Castle.

Hours: The theater offers performances nearly every weekday and many Saturdays 10 months of the year. (The site is dark in June and August.) Check the Web site or call the theater for information about shows and their times.

Admission and parking: Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for children; children younger than 2 are admitted free. Tickets may be reserved over the phone. Street parking is available; Metro riders should use the Smithsonian stop on the Orange Line.

Food: There is a small coffee shop and snack bar in the Arts and Industries Building. Also, parents may wish to note that the Air and Space Museum just down the street has opened a food area containing menu items from McDonald's, Boston Market and Donato's Pizzeria.
