Seen and heard yesterday at Comcast Center:
BANGED UP Forward Calvin McCall suffered a sprained ankle in Saturday's practice and was in plainclothes for the game. McCall, a senior, had started the first four games before freshman Nik Caner-Medley stepped in for the Notre Dame game Dec.7. The injury is not serious and McCall, who averages 4.4 points in 16.8 minutes, could be ready to play Saturday against Wagner.
LOCAL TIES Georgia Tech freshman guard Jarrett Jack (Fort Washington) and junior guard Marvin Lewis (Germantown, Montrose Christian) couldn't pull out a victory playing close to their hometowns. Jack had nine points and seven assists but also seven turnovers, while Lewis had a strong 12 points and eight rebounds. Jack is a cousin of Duke point guard Chris Duhon.
TIME CHANGE Saturday's game against Wagner, originally scheduled for 1p.m., has been changed to a 4p.m. start to accommodate television.
