Directions: The Rockville Municipal Swim Center is at 355 Martins Lane in Rockville. From Interstate 270 north, take the exit for Route 28 East. Go left at Nelson Street and follow the road 1.5 miles to the pool. For directions from other locations, call 301/309-3047.
Parking and admission: Daily admission is $5.50 for adults, $4.50 for children. Parking is plentiful and free.
Hours: Weekday hours vary greatly. On Saturdays, the North Pool (which includes the recreational pool) hours include a noon to 9 p.m. time slot; Sundays, the hours include an 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. time slot.Information: Call 301/309-3040. The Web site is www.ci.rockville.md.us/swim/swim.htm.

Area pools

The metropolitan area offers a number of year-round indoor pools. To find one in your neighborhood, check this list. Swimmers also might wish to contact local health clubs to inquire about open swimming.

District: The city has six indoor pools. Call 202/727-1000 or visit the Web site at www.dpr.dc.gov/information/pools/index2.shtm.
