The following is a sermon preached yesterday by the Rev. Daniel Erhabor at the Love Foundation Christian Center in Greenbelt:

Let's open to Mark 11. … Jesus here taught a very valuable principle about prayer (Mark 11:22-23) … .
"And Jesus, answering, said unto them, 'Have faith in God. For verily, I say unto you that whoseover shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.'" … The Bible says whosoever can get whatsoever. … So the Bible is telling us here that all things are possible. … And then the Bible went forward, and let's read the next verse. (Mark 11:24) "Therefore I say unto thee, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them." … The Bible says, 'whatever you desire' when you pray. That means that before you go to God in prayer, you must have a desire. …
Now, desire is not just a wish. Desire is not something I just think I'd like to have. Desire is something you have a strong affection, a strong longing for … For you to have your prayers answered, you need to come to God with a desire. … Religion, many times, has taught us that it is wrong to have a desire … But that's not what Jesus, the ultimate teacher, is saying here. He said, whatsoever you desire. …
What is your desire this morning? What is it that you want more than anything else? That's what you need to pray for. … Now don't get me wrong. There are right and wrong desires. … Let's look at James, Chapter 4. (James 4:1-3) … James is saying the reason why people don't have, is because they don't pray. … And he said if you ask and you don't receive it, it is because you don't know how to ask. … One reason why God gives us His word is to give us the proper foundation for us to have desires. He shows us those things that are good, so that we can desire them. … And it is in the realm of positive desires proper desires, scriptural desires, desires that come from the Word of God that the creative ability of God is released into our environment. …
So Christians, you've got to begin to have right desires. You've got to begin to have desires for your family. You've got to begin to have desires for your community. … Listen, church: Until you desire your nation to be saved, your nation will be lost. Until somebody has a desire for the young people who are roaming around the streets, for something good to happen to them, nothing is going to happen.
Until somebody has a dream, of how the nations can be changed, we're going to come and live and go, and things are going to remain the way they are. … Let's open to Ephesians, Chapter 3. (Ephesians 3:20) This is the key that will change your individual life this year. It will change your family; it will change your community. … It says: God can do it exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine, according to the power that worketh in us. … God is giving you a challenge. He says if you can dream it, I can do it. …
You can dream, and all you dream about is just your lunch that you're going to get when you break. … or you can dream of how you can change your school and get people born again, or how to raise children up in the wisdom of God. You can dream about how to change the programs on TV from violence. … You can dream of how you can spread the Gospel to the whole world, how you can feed the hungry … how you can heal the sick, how you can open blind eyes. You can dream small dreams or you can dream big dreams. … God is saying if you can dream it, it is possible. …
You say how do I get that desire? It's from the Word of God. … As you begin to study God's word, you have God's kind of dream. … The first point is to dream. Second point is to dream big dreams dreams that come from the word of God. And the third point is to bring your dreams to God in prayer.
