Seen and heard last night at MCI Center:
NOTHING ABNORMAL Christian Laettner had an MRI done on his bruised right thigh and nothing abnormal showed.
Laettner, who suffered the injury before the team's Jan. 19 game in Chicago, was placed on the injured list Jan. 24 and missed his third game with the injury.
RIP HAD A CHANCE The Eastern Conference All-Star team is loaded with good guards, including Michael Jordan, who was named a starter for the game next month in Philadelphia.
But Wizards coach Doug Collins believes that the groin injury to Richard Hamilton killed what was a very real chance of getting two Wizards in the game.
"You look at that position and you start talking about the Ray Allens and the Paul Pierces and the Tracy McGradys, so that's a position that's loaded in the East," Collins said. "But Rip was playing great. He was playing at a very high level."
Hamilton missed his 17th game.
