Directions: The Ice Skating Pavilion at Reston Town Center is at 1818 Discovery St. To get there, take the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) toward Reston. Exit on Reston Parkway and bear right. See the Hyatt Regency Reston on the left, and turn there (the street name, Discovery, is not visible). The rink is just behind the Hyatt.

Hours: The rink is open for business November through March on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Admission: Prices reflect a two-hour skate session. Adults pay $6.50, children younger than 12 pay $5.50, and senior citizens pay $5.50. Skate rental is $2.50. Season passes are available. Double-bladed skates are available for children; they strap onto shoes, so be sure your child is wearing sturdy laced or Velcro shoes.

Parking: Plenty of free spaces are available in surrounding parking structures and in the Hyatt.
