NEW YORK — With Daytime Emmy nominations for best talk show and best host, Rosie O'Donnell has a chance to keep two winning streaks alive in the final year of her syndicated chatfest.

Miss O'Donnell has won both awards the past four years, sharing best-host honors in 2001 with Regis Philbin. "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," fading in the ratings, will shut down in May.

The ABC soap opera "All My Children" led with 21 nominations, including best daytime drama, when contenders were announced yesterday morning. "As the World Turns" of CBS got 17.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos of "All My Children" married on-screen and off both were nominated as supporting actors. Miss Ripa and partner Mr. Philbin also were nominated as best talk-show hosts for "Live With Regis and Kelly."

Miss Ripa flashed a modest smile when her talk-show audience cheered the nominations Wednesday. "Don't applaud," she said. "I don't know why."

Susan Lucci, who has won one award in 20 tries as best actress in a soap opera, will have a chance to improve her batting average. She was nominated again for her role as Erica Kane in "All My Children."

Other best-actress nominees are Finola Hughes of "All My Children," Martha Byrne and Colleen Zenk Pinter of "As the World Turns" and Susan Finney of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

The best-actor nominees in soap operas are Jack Scalia and Vincent Irizarry of "All My Children," Hunt Block of "As the World Turns," Robert Newman of "Guiding Light" and Peter Bergman of "The Young and the Restless."

"As the World Turns," "One Life to Live" and "The Young and the Restless" will compete with "All My Children" for best soap. "General Hospital," which has won five of the past seven years, wasn't nominated.

Miss O'Donnell's program will compete for best talk show with "Live With Regis and Kelly," "The Montel Williams Show" and "The View."
