Location: Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine is at the east end of Fort Avenue in Baltimore.

Directions: Take Interstate 95 to Exit 55 (Key Highway). Follow Fort McHenry signs to Lawrence Street. Turn left on Lawrence Street, then left on Fort Avenue to the park entrance.

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Closed Christmas and New Year's days.

Admission: $5 for adults; children 16 and younger are admitted free.

Parking: Free and available.

Note: Restrooms and a small gift shop are on site. Bring a stroller for smaller children, as the fort is some distance from the visitors center. The fort is mostly wheelchair-accessible.
