Today is Election Day. We encourage you to vote. Here are our recommendations.
In the District:
For mayor, Anthony Williams.
For congressional delegate, Eleanor Holmes Norton.
No on Initiative 62
, which would allow addicts and pushers to avoid jail time and other sanctions.
No on Advisory Referendum A, which would mandate that the D.C. Council petition Congress to expand home rule to include an elected district attorney.

In Maryland:
For governor, Robert Ehrlich.
For the 8th Congressional District, Rep. Connie Morella.
For the 2nd Congressional District, Helen Delich Bentley.
For county executive in Prince George's County, Audrey Scott.

In Virginia:
For Senate, Sen. John Warner.
For the 10th Congressional District, Frank Wolf.
For the 11th Congressional District, Tom Davis.
Vote yes for higher-education bonds
that would, for example, aid George Mason University in accepting transfer students from Northern Virginia Community College.
Vote no on bonds for parks and recreation.
Vote no on the Northern Virginia tax referendum
, which would increase the sale tax.
