Seen and heard last night at Target Center in Minneapolis:
WANING ATTRACTION: The game didn't sell out the attendance of 18,009 was about 1,000 short of capacity. Last season the Wizards sold out 79 of 82 games, with the only three non-sellouts on the road for Michael Jordan's first season with the team.
GETTING YOUR MONEY'S WORTH: Minnesota coach Flip Saunders certainly earned the technical foul he received in the third quarter, reaming out Gary Zielinski for what he though was a missed foul call on Kevin Garnett. Shortly thereafter, with the Wizards pulling away, a fan seated close to the court started heckling Saunders, asking him if this was a rebuilding year for the Timberwolves and telling him he should go back to the CBA, where he has coached.
Surprisingly, Saunders stared the fan down twice for a total of about 10 seconds, actually paying mind to the more nonsupportive part of the Wolves' fan base.
