Sunday's lead editorial noted Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle's angry reaction to a speech by President Bush last Monday in New Jersey criticizing Democrats' failure to pass a homeland security bill he can sign. While the editorial quoted from remarks made by the president in a speech delivered around noon last Monday, we're informed that Mr. Daschle's outburst actually came in response to comments made several hours earlier by the president.
