Miller and Smith is building 87 craftsman-style single-family homes on lots of 2,500 square feet at Lorton Station in Lorton, a planned community with a clubhouse and swimming pool, a playground, and basketball and tennis courts.

Each home in this Fairfax County community will include stone and brick accents, professional landscaping that includes sodded front and rear yards, a private interior courtyard, and a two-car attached garage accessed from a traditional lane behind the house. Many homes have a front porch.

Inside, all three models feature three bedrooms, 2½ baths, hardwood flooring in the foyer, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, 42-inch cabinets and a pantry in the fully equipped kitchen, crown moldings, a master bath with a tub and separate shower, and a fireplace with a media niche in the family room. Two models include a bonus room.

The homes have about 2,400 finished square feet, with base prices from $374,990 to $379,990.

The Redwood model, priced from $374,990, features a foyer entrance leading into the formal living room, which has three windows across the front and opens onto the formal dining room. The powder room is a few steps down off a staircase landing. The family room has windows on two sides, a fireplace, and is open to the kitchen and breakfast area, which has a door onto the courtyard. The two-car garage is accessible from the breakfast area.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet and bath. Two additional bedrooms and a full bath complete this level.

A bonus room over the garage, accessed by a separate staircase, can be used as an office or playroom. Its options include a full bath, a walk-in closet and skylights.

Options for the homes include a finished media room, recreation room and full bath on the lower level.
