The Hylton Group is building 57 Colonial-style single-family homes at the Oaklands in Dale City, where residents can enjoy a location close to Potomac Mills mall, a water park, an ice rink and historic Occoquan.

Each home in this Prince William County community will include Colonial-style textured vinyl siding, professional landscaping, a post lamp and a one- or two-car garage. Brick fronts are optional.

Inside, both models feature three bedrooms; 2 baths, hardwood flooring in the foyer, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, crown and chair-rail moldings, 42-inch cabinets in the kitchen, ceramic-tile flooring in all baths, a high-tech wiring package, window shades, rough-in plumbing in the basement for a full bath and a security system.

The homes have 1,532 to 1,609 finished square feet, with base prices from the $280,000s.

The Valmont model, with 1,609 square feet, is priced from the $280,000s. This home features a front porch, a two-story foyer, an L-shaped dining room and great room with two walls of windows and an optional deck and fireplace, a powder room and a kitchen with an adjacent breakfast area with windows on two sides.

Upstairs, the master suite has an optional tray ceiling, a sitting room with a wall of windows, a walk-in closet and a private bath with a double-sink vanity. Two more bedrooms and another full bath complete this level.

The lower level can be finished with a study, full bath and recreation room in addition to the laundry and storage rooms.
