Location: "Nature's Jewels" is presented in the East Hall of the Smithsonian Institution's Arts and Industries Building, 900 Jefferson Drive SW.

Hours and tours: The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through May 26. Note that the butterfly house accepts the last visitor at 5:10 p.m. daily. Join Smithsonian staff and volunteers for a tour of the exhibit daily at 2 p.m.

Admission: Free.

Parking: Limited on-street parking is available, as are nearby commercial lots, including a L'Enfant Plaza lot directly across Independence Avenue. The Arts and Industries Building is accessible by Metrorail's Blue and Orange lines (Smithsonian stop) and by the Yellow and Green lines (L'Enfant Plaza stop).

Note: Festival Day for "Nature's Jewels" will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Activities and events will include lectures by botanists, artists, writers and scientists; origami demonstrations; orchid vendors; and children's events including crafts and hands-on science activities.
