Here are the top 10 movies at North American theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc. and Nielsen EDI Inc.:

“Finding Nemo” sank the previous record of $62 million for “Monsters, Inc.” Both films were made by Disney partner Pixar Animation, which also produced the “Toy Story” movies and “A Bug’s Life.”

2. “Bruce Almighty,” Universal, $37,329,480, 3,492 locations, $10,690 average, $137,396,070, two weeks.
