Due to an editing error, an article in Monday’s editions incorrectly characterized remarks by Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld in an interview with South Korea’s Yonhap news agency. Mr. Rumsfeld said some individual soldiers now based in South Korea would end up in Iraq or Afghanistan through normal troop rotations but that the United States was not planning to transfer major units to those countries or subtract from U.S. capability on the Korean peninsula.
