Oct. 11: “Camp Life of Union Soldiers” will be presented by the 51st Pennsylvania Infantry at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in Frederick from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 301/695-1864.


Tomorrow: “The Ship’s Company,” a living-history presentation of America’s naval heritage, will interpret life in the Union Navy from noon to 4 p.m. The program will show life aboard ship, naval uniforms and weapons. The program will be at the Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site, 4301 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria. For more information, 703/838-4848.


Monday: The Capitol Hill Civil War Round Table will hear Frank Scaturro discuss “President Grant Reconsidered.” Mr. Scaturro is founder and president of the Grant Monument Association and author of a Grant biography. The program will be at the Longworth House Office Building, Independence and New Jersey avenues SE, with refreshments at 6 p.m., meeting at 6:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
