KEY TO THE GAME

Phoenix point guard Steve Nash (13 points, 11 assists) had his eighth consecutive game with 10 or more assists. The Suns have won all eight games.

SEEN AND HEARD

ON VINSANITY: Wizards forward Antawn Jamison said former college teammate Vince Carter is glad he’s out of Toronto.

“He got what he wanted,” Jamison said. “That’s all he’s been saying so hopefully he can get it going. He wanted out of there.”

Carter, a five-time All-Star, was traded Friday to the New Jersey Nets.

BLAKE BACK?: Reserve guard Steve Blake, who has appeared in just two games this season because of foot problems, indicated he might be ready to return tomorrow at Golden State.

“I just did some one-on-one, and it’s feeling pretty good,” Blake said.

SAYONARA: The Suns waived Yuta Tabuse, the league’s first Japanese-born player. The 5-10 guard was dropped so the Suns could clear roster space for center Jackson Vroman.
