Because of an editing error, a photo caption in Saturday’s editions incorrectly identified the statues destroyed by the Taliban. The Standing Buddhas were blown up by the Taliban in 2001.

Because of an editing error, a story yesterday in some editions incorrectly identified the committee chaired by Sen. Pat Roberts. The Kansas Republican is chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

A story in Friday’s editions incorrectly reported the date that Roberta Combs was appointed executive vice president of the Christian Coalition. Coalition founder the Rev. Pat Robertson appointed her to the post in mid-1999. Mrs. Combs became the coalition’s president when Mr. Robertson left that post in February 2002.
