Ryland Homes is building 795 town homes and single-family homes on 6,000- to 9,000-square-foot homesites at Idlewild in Fredericksburg, where residents can enjoy walking paths, a swimming pool, a clubhouse, tennis courts and tot lots.

Each home in the Wright Collection of single-family homes in this Fredericksburg community will include Hardiplank cement siding, professional landscaping and a two-car garage.

Inside, all three models in this collection feature four bedrooms, 21/2 baths, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, 42-inch oak cabinets and recessed lighting in the center-island kitchen, ceramic-tile tub and shower surrounds, a master bath with a tub and separate shower, a plumbing rough-in on the lower level, and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have 2,675 to 3,187 finished square feet, with base prices from the $440,000s to the $480,000s.

The Mercer model, with 3,187 square feet, is priced from the $480,000s. This home features a foyer entrance flanked by the library and the living room, which is open to the dining room.

Nearby are an art niche, a powder room and a closet. Across the back of the house are the center-island kitchen and breakfast area and a two-story family room with stairs to the upper and lower levels. A laundry room with a closet links the house and garage.

Upstairs, a central loft overlooks the family room.
