Monday: “The Civil War in 3-D” is a program of original stereoscopic photographs to be presented by the Library of Congress and by writer and photographer Bob Zeller, president of the Center for Civil War Photography. The program will be at 2 p.m. in the Mumford Room, James Madison Memorial Building, 101 Independence Ave. SE. No reservations are required. For more information, 202/707-9336.


Today and tomorrow: The Maryland Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has arranged services for the remains of Seaman Joseph F. Ridgaway of Talbot County, Md., who was a crew member of the sunken Confederate submarine Hunley. Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Rd., Libertytown, Md. Viewing will be held tomorrow from 10 a.m. until the memorial service and military honors at 3:30 p.m. After the memorial service, the Sediment of Seaman Ridgaway will be escorted to Baltimore Washington International Airport by the Mechanized Cavalry, SCV, to await transportation to Charleston, S.C.
