Seen and heard last night at MCI Center:

GOING SHIRTLESS — The Caps will autograph and give away their game jerseys following Saturday’s home finale against the New York Rangers. The winning fans will be selected in a random draw based on seat location. It will be the fifth consecutive season Washington has done the giveaway.

WHO ARE THESE GUYS? — With the appearance of defenseman Jakub Cutta Saturday in Tampa Bay, the Caps have used 49 players this season, passing the previous mark of 42 set in 1989-90. Nine players have made their NHL debut this season with Washington.

IF EVERY DAY WAS TUESDAY — The Caps have 6-4-1-0 record on Tuesdays. Washington’s only other winning day is Thursday, when it has a 5-4-2-0 record. Mondays (1-5-1-0) and Wednesdays (2-9-2-0) have featured the worst results.
