Drew’s baby news?

San Francisco Chronicle

Drew Barrymore has been spotted shopping for baby clothes — prompting speculation she’s pregnant with boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti’s child.

The 29-year-old actress — who has been dating the Strokes drummer for two years — was seen browsing through a Santa Monica, Calif. shopping mall with an armful of baby wear.

“She was cooing over all sorts of little outfits and accessories,” an unnamed source in one store says.

“She bought stuff in pink and blue and was very relaxed and didn’t say if she’d had the good news.

“She could be stocking up just in case — maybe it’s twins.”

Last month Miss Barrymore admitted, “I’ve started to think about children and one day Fabrizio and I will think about that seriously.”

Kirsten’s regret

New York Post

Kirsten Dunst says she regrets not playing Sylvia Plath in a biopic because she thinks her portrayal would have been more convincing than Gwyneth Paltrow’s.

Miss Dunst says she always wanted to play the suicidal poet, and faults Miss Paltrow for failing to capture Miss Plath’s essence “even though I think Gwyneth Paltrow is an amazing actress,” Miss Dunst tells Nylon magazine. “I think that Sylvia was a girl who wanted to hurt.

“She wanted to feel terrible. I felt like, in the movie, it was more like, ‘I’m the victim.’ It should have been more that she liked to create all this [bleep] in her head. She was crazier.”

Splitsville

Internet Movie Database

Acting couple Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci have split — just weeks after friends described them as “inseparable.”

The Emmy-winning performers — who met while starring on Broadway in “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune ” — had been dating since last April but called time on their romance recently. Even those close to “The Sopranos” actress didn’t discover the news until Miss Falco arrived at the show’s premiere party alone.

“They’re not together,” Mr. Tucci’s representative Jennifer Plante told the New York Post’s Page Six column.

Miss Falco and Mr. Tucci started dating just a month after he announced his split from wife Kate last year.

Janet tells all

Los Angeles Daily News

Echoing her onstage partner, Janet Jackson says her breast exposure during the Super Bowl halftime show was a “costume accident.”

“It was not intentional. It was a costume accident,” Miss Jackson tells Ebony magazine for its April issue in her first interview since the now-infamous Feb. 1 performance.

“It was an accident,” she says. “That was basically it.”

Justin Timberlake, Miss Jackson’s partner in crime, has said that when he reached for her top, exposing her right breast covered only in a sun-shaped nipple shield, it was a “wardrobe malfunction.”

In the article, Miss Jackson also discusses her boyfriend of the past year and a half, record producer Jermaine Dupri, about whom she’s been reticent in the past.

“Things are great with us,” the 37-year-old superstar says. “I’m sorry, but I get so tickled when you say his name. It’s so funny because I’ve never been in a relationship when my friends adore him and my family just loves him. It’s a first me for me.

“But more importantly,” she added, “I love him. Everything is great.”

Miss Jackson is headed back to network television on April 10 as the host and musical guest of “Saturday Night Live,” NBC announced.
