An article in Washington Weekend magazine on April 7 incorrectly identified the Civil War soldier commemorated by a monument at 9700 Lee Highway in Fairfax. He is Peyton Anderson, critically wounded on May 27, 1861, near the present-day Fairfax traffic circle, the first soldier to shed his blood for the Confederacy.
