Quarterback Jason Campbell’s holdout lasted all of one day. The second of Washington’s two first-round draft choices, 25th overall, agreed to a five-year contract last night and should be on the field for practice today.

“Jason’s very excited and is looking forward to getting started,” agent Joel Segal said.

Campbell’s deal is very similar to the contract just signed by the player taken one spot ahead of him, fellow quarterback Aaron Rodgers, whose five-year, $7.65 million contract with the Green Bay Packers, including $5.4 million in guarantees, could total $24.5 million if he reaches all the incentives and escalators.
