The Asian airfare battle continues as United Air Lines just announced an Asia winter sale that offers reduced prices through March 29. One-way fares (based on round-trip travel) from Washington Dulles International Airport to Osaka/Tokyo begin at $275; to Shanghai, $330; and Beijing, $325. Travel must be booked by Monday. The Maswik North Lodge at Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim will undergo a major renovation between Jan. 2 and mid-April. The entire 278-room Maswik Lodge complex will be closed until mid-March, when 118 rooms and cabins, the cafeteria, transportation desk, gift shop and lounge are scheduled to reopen


Barcelo Hotels is offering five-star luxury for two-star prices at its newest all-inclusive resort, the Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach Resort on Mexico’s Mayan Riviera.
