Turnberry Associates, whose Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Golf Club in Aventura, Fla., represents the ultimate in sophistication and pampering, is bringing its expertise in opulent developments to the Washington area.

The company is building Turnberry Tower, a condominium community at 1850 N. Fort Myer Drive in Rosslyn with panoramic views of Georgetown, Washington’s monuments and landmarks, and the Potomac River.

Although the views and deluxe appointments would be expected in an upscale development, Turnberry Tower also will feature such amenities as direct-entry private elevators that whisk residents from the lobby into their own private foyer entrance.

Residents will enjoy the traditional elegance of 24-hour valet, concierge and front desk services as well as the latest Smart Home technology. By touching an icon on an electronic panel screen in their home, residents can request their car from the valet, communicate with the front desk, schedule a maintenance appointment or make arrangements for dining or entertainment through the concierge.

Turnberry Tower will include a spa and fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, a media room, social rooms and a cafe. The multilevel garage will include assigned spaces and have some individual garages available for cars and motorcycles.

Inside, each of the homes will have to 9-foot to 11-foot smooth-finish ceilings, Italian cabinets, granite counters, Miele appliances, Jacuzzi hydrotherapy tubs, marble baths, floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive balconies.

The north-facing homes will have views of Georgetown, Washington National Cathedral and Key Bridge, while the west-facing homes will look toward Tysons Corner and have views of the Potomac River. The east-facing homes will face Key Bridge, the east end of Georgetown and the Potomac River, and the south-facing homes will look toward Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iowa Jima memorial).

The 26-story building will include 247 homes with one to four bedrooms and prices from the $800,000s to $7,000,000.

Condominium fees are estimated to be 65 cents per square foot, which comes to about $853 to $3,448 per month. The homes range from 1,312 square feet for a one-bedroom, 11/2-bath home to 5,304 finished square feet for the tower suite, which includes three bedrooms, a formal dining room, a library, a lounge, a staff suite and 51/2 baths.

Among the variety of floor plans available at Turnberry Tower, the Type E residence, which faces west or east, has 1,803 to 1,814 square feet and base prices from the $900,000s to the $1,500,000s. Each Type E home has a private elevator foyer that opens into the main foyer, a central living and dining room and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar. Near the foyer are a powder room, a linen closet and a laundry room.

The master bedroom has two walk-in closets, an opulent bath and a sliding glass door to a private balcony. The second bedroom includes a long closet along one wall, a private bath and a sliding glass door to a private balcony.

The Type I model, which faces east or west, has from 2,650 to 2,655 square feet. These homes, available on the 19th through 26th floors, are priced from $2,300,000 to $3,500,000 and include a balcony that runs the length of the home.

The private elevator brings residents and guests to the elevator foyer, which opens into the main foyer. At the center of this home are a great room and an open kitchen with a center island.

Sliding glass doors link the living room, the second bedroom and the master bedroom with the balcony. Near the foyer are a powder room and laundry room and an entrance to the den or third bedroom, which has a walk-in closet and a private full bath.

The master bedroom includes two oversized walk-in closets, a linen closet and a private luxury bath. The second bedroom includes a walk-in closet and a private bath with an oversized shower with a seat.
